Problem with my 2004 Buick Rendezvous
Mileage = 102K
Engine size = 6 cyl
dash lights = no
GM Computer codes = no
Repair work done prior = none
Work done to repair this problem = none
GM tech = Jk
question = Lift gate release touch pad won't work.  Stopped suddenly no intermittent
failures.  Checked fuse and not the problem.  Is there anything else to check or do I
need to get a new pad from a dealer?
The touch pad on the rear handle sends a signal the Body Control Module (BCM), the
BCM then controls the rear gate.
You could have a problem in the handle pad, the BCM, or any of the wiring in between.
Would need to do some testing of the system to narrow it down for sure. Just replacing
the pad may not do it.
