| Why when i push the gas on my 2004 trailblazer it wont speed up. What can it be? |
| The other morning I went out to get in my truck and the heater fan blower was on. The truck was off and the key was in my pocket! I turned the switch to off but it kept running. I then pulled the fuse and it quit. The battery was dead. When I got it charged and started the truck, the fan still worked, but only on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions. It doesn't work on the 1st and 5th position. But, the fuse is still removed. Is this a problem with the blower switch, a short somewhere, or something else? |
| My 1997 Saturn SL2 from the auction (my mistake). My car was acting weird first it would start up then i would drive it somewhere go in and come out try to start it nothing just a click. So i thought it was the battery or the starter so i replaced the starter and the first time i fired it up i think i heard a spark somewhere but the car started then i smelled gas smell coming from the engine somewhere now it wont even make a clicking noise but the dashboard lights stay on when i turn the key to the "ON" position what could this be? |

You've most likely got a bad blower resistor. Those trucks are
known to have them get too hot and short out, and they usually burn
the terminals on the blower resistor connector as well. You can
check this by looking under the right side of the dash and removing
the connector from the resistor. It is right next to the blower motor.
You may have to remove trim panels to access this. GM makes a
new design blower resistor that you would have to replace the old
one with. And if the connector is burned up, you'll need to wire in a
new 'pigtail' connector to plug into the new resistor. You can get one
of those as well at your local GM dealership

possibly a clogged fuel filter, or fuel pump that isn't putting out
enough gas. You could have a problem with the electronic throttle
body, where it is not opening correctly when you accelerate. It could
be also be dirty or have excess carbon build up inside it. Check to
make sure the air filter is clean as well. As you can see, lots of
things could be at fault. It would be best to get it checked out by a
technician so you can determine the exact cause.

| 2003 Chevy trailblazer inline6 in august my service engine light came on took it in they said the thermostat code was showing anyway back then when I go from place to place when I go to start it , it acts like it was flooded and took 3 or 4 tries to get it started , I just got it back 2 days ago, had therm replaced and that’s not the problem, it's still doing it if not worse I tried to explain how it starts and they just say they can't promise this is the problem, it starts right up in the morning or after it has sit for awhile but to keep starting it like going Christmas shopping it does it. It idles good runs good heater works great hope this is enough info thanks Dawn |

| 2005 Chev Trailblazer, 6 cylinder the ABS, Suspension, Security light, battery, every light but the check engine light is on I have no gauges, oil pressure, gas, battery, water, rear wiper does not work, stereo does not work, windows do not work, interior lights come on and stay on. I have cleaned the battery terminal to the main fuse box. I have pulled fuses and put them back after checking to see if they are burned. I am pretty sure it is a relay that has gone bad but which one and where do I or how do I find it? Please Help! |
| The check engine light came on in my 2005 trailblazer the shop said the air induction valve control solenoid needs replacing. I was wondering if it was something I could change it myself or if the shop would have to. If it is something I could change is the directions somewhere to follow to change the parts to fix |
You need to check the 125 amp mega fuse in the underhood fuse
box, that the positive battery cable attatches to. Is it black, and you
can't see if it's blown, you need to test with a test light or volt meter.
There is also a fuse box under the left second row seat. Check fuses
and relays there as well. Also, the Body Control Module is located in
that position and if it is shorted out, it could cause all the issues you
describe. You say every light is on but the check engine light, but
does it come on when you turn the key on and do a bulb check? If
you have no check engine light at all, even for a few seconds when
you turn the key on, then you have a Powertrain Control Module
problem. Something is obviously blown somewhere, and a single relay
would not cause this problem like you are thinking. If you've had to
jump the vehicle recently, you could have smoked one or more
computer modules, wires or fusible links. You'll need to check it all.
